Rounds and Timeline

All UGC and AICTE Approved Students can only participate.

Round 1: Problem Identification 

Welcome to the first submission round! This phase is dedicated to identifying and addressing key problems within specific industry sectors. Participants are tasked with selecting one industry from the provided list of five and submitting a pitch deck outlining the identified problem and its viable solution. Ensure that the problems chosen are solvable.

Round 2: Solution Brainstorming

Building on the identified problems from Round 1, successful teams will now embark on a journey of solution brainstorming. This round challenges participants to creatively devise unique ideas to address and solve the assigned problem within a 10-12 hour window.

Grand Finale Submission Round:

Congratulations to the top teams! In the Grand Finale, participants will converge at the AITT campus to collaboratively brainstorm and devise solutions for the assigned problem statement within a 10-12 hour timeframe. 

At the conclusion of the round, teams will present their innovative ideas to a panel of judges  who will evaluate the proposed solutions and provide valuable feedback

Details

Round 1: Problem Identification

Welcome to the inaugural submission round! This phase is dedicated to pinpointing and addressing crucial problems within specific industry sectors. Participants must choose one industry from the provided list of five and submit a pitch deck outlining the identified problem and its viable solution. Ensure that the chosen problems are solvable.

Participants will identify real-world problems or white spaces within given industries/sectors. Ideathon aims to inspire candidates to delve into the business world of specified sectors, identifying gaps, and constructing problem statements. Participants will receive email from the team for submission.Proper validation of the problem, backed by data or other means, is essential to convey its gravity. Experienced personnel will evaluate the problem statements based on complexity, ingenuity, and relevance in the current business world.

Sectors: E-commerce and Retail, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Healthcare/Biotech/Pharma,  Banking and Financial Services.

Submission Requirements:

  • Presentation: 1 slide introducing the team + 2 slides on the problem statement + up to 5 slides of supporting exhibits/appendix.

  • Evaluation Criteria: Genuineness and novelty of the identified problem/white space, quality of supporting data and explanations, solvability, and the team's ability to propose a go-to-market strategy.

Round 2: Solution Brainstorming

Building on the identified problems from Round 1, successful teams will embark on a journey of solution brainstorming. This round challenges participants to creatively devise unique ideas to address and solve the assigned problem within a 10-12 hour window.

  • Offline round at AITT.

  • Top-selected problem statements will be randomly allocated to finalist teams.

  • Teams are encouraged to think creatively and address the assigned problem within a 10-12 hour window (night of March 18th to the morning of March 19th).

  • Final presentations to a panel of judges, who will evaluate and provide feedback on proposed solutions.

  • Team Size: Minimum of 1 to a Maximum of 3 people.

  • One team per member.

  • Participants can be from different institutes.
